Dr. Danny T Khounh is an Acupuncturist and a Research Scientist with over 20 years of experience in research and development for drug discovery as well as in clinical research. He was exposed to alternative medicine at a very young age being the son of the town’s medicine man and a midwife and healer in Cambodia. His parents only used herbs and other natural healing methods to treat ailing people. Danny was able to see and experience the power of alternative medicine and had the opportunity to learn some of the art from his parents. When he came to the US, he was driven to help people in as many ways as possible so he started on his journey with science.
Dr. Khounh has his Bachelor of Science degree in biology (premed) from Cabrini College and started his research and development in a biotech company. He chose to pursue his graduate school in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Texas Health and Science University as he wanted to fulfil his desire to follow in his father’s footsteps and to satisfy his desire to heal people. He continued his scientific career and in 2002, he graduated from Texas Health and Science University which manifested his passion and establishment of his career in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Khounh recently acquired his doctorate in acupuncture and oriental medicine integrating eastern and western medicine to address the whole human body. He has taken two different strategies of his career path and found an understanding that guides healing in a new way.
Dr. Khounh’s goal is to bring the eastern and western disciplines together to heal his patients effectively in a natural way.
